A historical landmark that has withstood the test of time.
The church began in 1883, when a small log cabin church was constructed on a parcel of land originally owned by a local DuFief family member. Because of the many poplar trees that lined the street, now known as Jones Lane, and the surrounding acreage, the church was named Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
